'Some people might disagree that wasn't a good idea. But I was 38 when I had the second one and I think, it was a very simple decision for me to make, it was very easy. ' Carol explained: 'It was a one-night stand, believe it or not, at 38. Yeah, I took a long time to grow up. 'I got pregnant and I think it was my body saying to me, "Look, you're running out of time. You better get on with this. " I think that is what was happening. ' Speaking out: 'Some people might disagree that wasn't a good idea. ' Her love: Carol, who is now happily married to husband Mark Cassidy, 36, explained: 'It was a one-night stand, believe it or not, at 38. ' Carol went on to talk about the dropping fertility rates for women under 30 in England and Wales. She said that people in their 20s worry about the future, planet and world, which is impacting their choice to have children. Carol went on to lament the fact she is called a 'cougar' for being married to Mark and it is 'rude' that he is called a 'toy boy' for their 24-year age gap.
The reason Johnson chose the behavioral system model is the idea that "all the patterned, repetitive, purposeful ways of behaving that characterize each person's life make up an organized and integrated whole, or a system"(other). Johnson states that by categorizing behaviors, they can be predicted and ordered. Johnson categorized all human behavior into seven subsystems(SSs):Attachment, Achievement, Aggressive, Dependence, Sexual, Ingestive, and Eliminative. Each subsystem is composed of a set of behavioral responses or tendencies that share a common goal. These responses are developed through experience and learning and are determined by numerous physical, biological, psychological, and social factors. Four assumptions are made about the structure and function of each SS. These four assumptions are the"structural elements" common to each of the seven SSs. The first assumption is "from the form of the behavior it takes and the consequences it achieves and can be inferred to what drive that has been stimulated or what goal is being sought" (Johnson, 1980).
I would welcome further comments on this.
